Job Title:
Head of Sales and Marketing
Purpose and Responsibilities:
Lead and implement the Company’s portfolio commercial strategy and activities by creating local solutions to meet objectives and drive appropriate Customer relationship and network building with key customers
  • Reporting to the General Manager he/she is responsible for establishing the local sales strategy and activities to achieve sales and OP targets and for maximizing sales effectiveness, segmentation and targeting, rep performance
  • Lead, develop, manage and motivate the sales and marketing teams including salesforce planning and training, ensure brand strategies, plans and results are clearly understood
  • Ensure that the stocking and distribution of products is organised in the most effective way
  • Direct the development, approval, implementation and execution of the tactical brand plan including finalisation of promotional materials, organisation of congresses, presenting to the hub and affiliates, monitoring and developing etc.
  • Take the lead on product launches, plan the initiation, control and evaluation of activities in new product development, portfolio management and distributive channels and methods
  • Support the Affiliate Hub Commercial Excellence team to monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products and merchandizing techniques
  • Leads the implementation of country systems, monitoring tools, KPIs, BI needs through working in conjunction with CE Manager for Ensure strong collaboration with medical and MAx
  • Recommends budgetary levels necessary, and exercises financial control over marketing and sales operating expenses
  • Monitor sales, activities, budget, people performance and development
  • Ensure existing key accounts and partners are serviced effectively, obtain orders, and establish new key accounts through organization and planning
  • Negotiate contracts and/or proposals and build long-term relationships with external partners and/or customers
  • Act as a member of the management team of the business
  • Represent affiliate on corporate Business Unit projects and initiatives
Employment status:

Degree in a health-related subject, marketing, business or equivalent qualification
Language skills:
Fluent in Hungarian and English
Professional background:
Minimal 5 years’ experience in Marketing and/or Sales managerial functions, including 2-3 years as Business Unit Sales Manager or Products Group Manager
  • Extensive previous documented sales achievement in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Fully understands a complex compliance environment and delivers within this.
  • Able to lead and motivate a team and to communicate/relate with customers with a highly scientific profile
  • Excellent organizational, negotiation, presentation and communications skills, high credibility within affiliate/outside, crativity, broad business understanding

Competitive compensation package and bonus
Budapest based, 50% travel required nationally with some international travel
