Job Title:
Therapeutic Area Manager (Hungary & Romania)

Purpose and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Country Manager (Hungary & Romania), responsible for leading the in-country Field force team to deliver a best-in-industry local customer offer
  • Responsible for the first line sales management of the identified Field force (acting as FLSM), ensuring the team is sufficiently-resourced and trained, and managing the team’s performance
  • Generate and gather insights, opportunities, risks and needs from their local market and give input to ATAL to ensure representation in the EMEA brand co-creation team
  • Represent the EMEA brand plan for the country, aligning brand priorities and market requirements
  • Develop and execute the operational brand plan in-market, through localisation/ adaption of EMEA-level materials and initiatives
  • Ensure locally-specific created initiatives and materials are appropriate, approved by the ATAL and aligned with the brand strategy and positioning
  • Champion the brand in-country through an expertise in all aspects of the brand within the appropriate market
  • Engage with and manage the relationship with key local customers and KOLs to develop insights and services
  • Align with the Country Manager, EMEA Brand Managers and other key stakeholders on brand priorities and market requirements
  • Work closely with the Area Business & Market Insight Specialist to develop the country level brand forecast
  • Ensure all marketing channels identified for use locally (including but not limited to Digital) are aligned to the Therapeutic Area and Brand strategies, and are approved by the EMEA Brand Director
  • Work with local agencies where needed to ensure brand content (Digital or other) is localised for Affiliate needs and ensure appropriate training is delivered for the managed Affiliate Field force, to support their use of the content within the operational brand plan
  • Works collaboratively with peer Brand Managers in Affiliate, Area and regional Brand leads to develop the recommendations for the brand budget allocation
  • Ensure local brand performance meets agreed standards and monitor in-line with brand KPIs
  • Role model implementation of the new business operating model, driving horizontal/vertical/virtual collaboration, sharing best practice across the business
  • Partner with colleagues on tendering, authorities, commission reimbursements and the successful launch of products
  • Drive a culture of Ethics and Compliance, ensuring Integrity in Action is actively applied in all initiatives and proactively address non-compliance

MD, Degree in biology and/or chemistry, Pharmacist
Language skills:
Fluent in oral/written verbal business English and Hungarian

Professional background:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales and marketing of hospital medical products as well as in KOL management
  • In-depth understanding of industry and regulatory requirements for Pharma sector in-country, with strong patient/customer focus
  • Experience in team leadership, operational role in the Pharma sector with strong patient/ customer focus, including budget & forecast delivery
  • Proven track record of planning, managing product launches, measurement and revenue growth
  • Demonstrated experience of managing the brand life cycle within a market
  • Experience of the Therapeutic area
  • Good level of analytical ability and computer literacy
  • Politically astute with sound judgement and able to challenge respectively and constructively
  • Able to leverage sector/market networks to identify opportunities for competitive advantage
  • Project management capability
  • Deep understanding of how to interpret data (market, financial etc.) and leverage insights generated, to build a strategic view of the market and convert that content into language which has meaning for multiple audiences
  • Delivering to stretch KPIs, to sustainably grow the business and maintain performance
  • Collaborative and co-creational role-model, working horizontally and vertically, leveraging CoE service delivery
